Title: Weird year for second crops
Post by: gnappi on September 25, 2015, 03:10:48 AM
Early last month (Aug) my muscadines, loquat and peaches bloomed again here in So. Fla.  Has anyone else had two bloom cycles from fruits that ordinarily give one crop?

It is common for peaches to throw some summer, or off season, flowers however these flowers do not set fruit.

My Mahachanok has been throwing a mix of leaves and flowers since mid-August. It did the same thing last year and held one fruit until mid-November. This year, I have been tipping the branches to induce growth. The tree did not flower at all during the normal flowering period last year. I hope that will change this time.
