At least part of this publication is suspect...for sooty mold:
"Control : Pruning of affected branches and their prompt destruction"
Eeeeeeks...South Florida would have a bunch of bare mango trunks...

Can't a lot of the sooty mold issue be taken care of by getting rid of the ants?

I have had severe anthracnose infestations on my mangoes with no fruit production (flower panicles get infected and die before it fruits) I want to plant some new varieties with the most resistance to anthracnose. Any suggestions on which I should try?
