what sugar apple variety is this?

I bought this on the ebay and the seller is from Rosemead, CA. I was wondering what sugar apple variety is this?

hi , its an improved variety of sugar apple, heard it is good, in south east Asian countries it is called Sirkaya....

It looks like the Sugar Apple that I ate when I was a kid in Vietnam.  Since there are a lot of Vietnamese in Rosemead, Calif., I think it could be the Vietnamese Sugar Apple variety. Just my thought.

I guess that makes sense. Do you think the vietnamese sugar apple is superior to the kampong mauve(red sugar apple) ?

I have not tasted the Red Sugar Apple, so I could compared the taste between them.  However, I really like the Vietnamese Sugar Apples which are very sweet and flavorful.  I would like to grow this tree in the near future.

I see. Do you know the difference inside of the regualr sugar apple vs the vietnamese sugar apple variety?

It is in the thai Lessard style and unlikely to be pure sugar apple.It is likely to be around a quarter atemoya and a bit more bland than standard sugar apples.
