Yes that is right. From a cultivar called Waimanalo. Tree is semi dwarf.

Not annona. It is a little durian. Was the first drop of the season. Now that tree is really cranking out.

These 3 fruit seasons don't usually overlap, but rambutans fruited this year a bit off season. I was also happy to get 3 garcinias at once: mangosteen, achachairu, and imbe. This year was first very big mangosteen harvest. I have about 30 trees. But before you start thinking all is paradisical here i will let you know i chased out a thief who in pursuit dropped 3 big bags of rambutans and mangosteens. But that should be a whole different post. I think i will call it Troubles in Paradise?  ;D

Thanks. I have fun both with the art part and the eat part. Removing and cleaning/bagging/mailing seeds is the work part. But i love my work.  8)

Yes. Mabolo = velvet apple, or better name is velvet persimmon. In persimmon family but don't taste anything like a persimmon. Hard to describe, has unique taste, but nearest similar fruit would be i think a pear. Texture is similar but not as moist as a pear. It is creamy. mildly sweet, and very delicate taste.
