I would like to build a small greenhouse just to grow a durian and a mangosteen in north OC and I was wondering about the minimum height durians can set height at

I have seen photos of durians with a fruit on that were about 8' high.  Durian can be pruned easily and kept quite low.  I would think that you would want some decent clearance over the top of the tree, maybe with some shade cloth on top of the roof and a LOT of humidity with very good drainage.

I have an unpruned 7 year old, 10 foot tall panang 88 that is flowering profusely for its second season. They can be kept short if pruned or trellised.Seedlings are hard to keep small and productive at a small size.

From my archive of amazing tropical fruit pictures and screenshots. These are screenshots from Lindsey's powerpoint presentation in Hawaii. Absolutely incredible.

Usually durians will get very tall before fruiting. I did see a D123 (Chanee) here that a grower kept cosistently pruned. It was 5-6 feet tall and loaded with fruits. So it is possible to get them to fruit while still very short. The fruits on this tree were at ground level.
