Acre.Amazonian. Seeds Of Brazil
« on: March 16, 2017, 02:21:27 PM »
Hello Guys!

I am from Brazil, Acre State, Amazon, a friend told me this forum about buying and selling seeds, I would like to know, what seeds of the Amazon do you need, since I can get many species, especially here in the region of Acre, Because eventually I help in the collection of seeds for people from other areas of Brazil.

Dear friends.

Thanks for the messages in pm, but people are asking me for jaboticabas !, I'm in the north of Brazil, Jaboticabas are more of Southeast Brazil, here I have never seen any kind of jaboticaba in the forests, only in some houses and as it is very hot here , I have never seen fruit.

Here in the region we have many species of pouteros, annonas, palm trees, moraceas, spondias and other species.

Eugenia here is also small amount of species.

Very interested in Pouteria (pouteros). I am always looking for new Abiu genetics. I hope to do business with you. I wonder how long shipping takes to Florida. Thanks.

Here on my farm it develops very well, my climate is tropical at altitude and I have a minimum of 7 ° C in winter, I have 3 trees with 4 years and 3 m in height.

Recently I germinated six seeds of a kind of Pajura that came from a city in the state of Pará and the leaves are Glabas and not Tomentosas like the others I have.

Here I have in production a kind of very rare couepia, Oiti Coró, Couepia Rufa, the sweetest fruit I have in production.

Pic Couepia Rufa

couepia bracteosa is Pajurá, very different Pouteria Speciosa, Pajurá de Óbidos,  Pajurá,

So in your region jaboticabas that are planted wont set fruit? I live in malaysia which has the same climate as the Amazon.

Hello friends,

I had an agreement with a friend from Minas Gerais to send the seeds, as he has great experience sending it out of Brazil, because the post office in Acre is very slow and bureaucratic.

But he does not want to know about shipping outside Brazil, I think someone defamed him or something, he said he will not sell anything else, so I can not send the seeds, and I went back to college these days, I'm not time.

I prefer to trade for him, for I have worked with him and he has been my friend for many years.

I'll try to talk to him again.

Well, now I understand why, the pajura in the imagen traveled por 3 months with others seeds from another friend ,only it survived. I understood that the problem is with the mail...
for these reason I asked you for pouteria speciosa because it take a long time to born. Explain to him, naturally, I´ll take the responsibility for that.
Maybe the post office in all brazil is very slow and bureaucratic.
Thank you Gustavo for his effort for us
