My collection is conspicuously devoid of any Atrocarpus plants, so I'm seeking recommendations for Jackfruit varieties and/or other related species. I'm interested in sweet and low latex fruiting types, but also vigorous, compact, and hardy plants. I'm in CA, Zone 11b. TIA.

Some of the Jackfruit varieties (Black Gold, Gold Nugget, and Mai 3) seem well adjusted to southern California and several people are doing well with these varieties.  These are also relatively easy to obtain here in California and keep to a limited size.  Just a note, your climate should be listed as 10b-11a since you are close to that boarder on the USDA map.  If you lived in a true 11b climate you could probably grow breadfruit, but that does not grow in California.  It would be fun to grow breadfruit...awesome looking tree.
