Banana Identification
« on: May 19, 2017, 10:26:08 AM »
Hey all, I ordered a Banana sampler box from Miamifruit.org the other day and I'm having trouble identifying most of them.  If anyone knows what varities these are and can help, it will be much appreciated. Thanks all

Far bottom right might be Saba or Hua Moa.

Bottom and top right ripe ones look like burro/dwarf Orinoco to me.. To the left of those, maybe Raja Puri. Did Rane list any of the possible varieties? You could email him a picture and he might be able to help more, knowing what he harvested.

It wouldn't have been too hard to use a sharpie and write the varieties. What good is a sample without ID?

Completely agree. Minimum effort to throw a few tags to call attention to variety. There's a hell of a premium on those bananas too.
