Any forum members in Bali, Indonesia?
« on: June 02, 2017, 12:25:36 AM »
Any forum members in Bali or near Bali and are able to ship me a few Hindu wood carvings? I am specifically looking for ones carved out of fruit tree wood, but I will settle for other wood as well.

Might be easier to get someone in India to do it. Lots of carvings there out of mango wood, also sandalwood.

I am considering India as well, but I like the Indonesian style of carvings a lot.

I've never seen any poster give their location as Bali. But many people travel to Bali on holiday, especially Australians.

Since we are already way off topic, sorry for going even further.
I have what I sincerely believe best looking Ganesha in it's size and weight category available right now in US. I think it's better than traditional Indian or Balinese style. It took 6 months for a single artist to sculpt from a single piece. Attention to details is outstanding.  Anyone of any religion can appreciate artistic side here. Can mail some more up close photos. Have been very lazy selling this. Put on ebay last year for 10 days, but canceled due to my travels.

Hi, Murahilin. I have a furniture craftsman in Bali and Jepara (Central Java). But what do you want? Doors, statues, wall hangings or others? I send photos beautifull door from Jati wood.
