can a guava tree give a banana tree a disease or other stuff ?

A few years ago an unattended guava got white fly and it spread to my bananas. I cut off most of the infected leaves and burned them and sprayed with water blasts and insecticidal soap and the problem stopped there.

I can't say for sure, but definitely no root diseases will spread as they are completely separate species

the  reason i was asking was because i am going to use this rooting gel that i used on guava cutting din't look like if they had any disease they still had leaves so i was checking the leaves, so i am going to use the rooting gel on the banana pup corm because the person that sold it to me knocked off all the roots ?

They will grow back without the roots. I have seen people clean banana corms for shipment. They cut off all of the roots and check for corm weevils. It ends up looking like a peeled potato.
