Selling: 5 Thai mango varieties (NamDocMai, Okrung & more)
« on: June 15, 2017, 05:02:20 AM »
These are the mango varieties we have found so far on our trip in Thailand. We will update this add as we find more varieties.

Keaw Yai (1), Jao Kunthip (2) & Kaew Kaset (3)

Kaew Yai (mango 1)
Very sweet, bit of a more complex taste with some savouriness to it. Very little fibre.

Jao KunThip (mango 2)
Sweet with a flowery, aromatic, taste. Dense flesh. Little fibre, but slightly more than NamDocMai.

Kaew Kaset (mango 3)
Sweet, standard tropical mango taste, like mango juice from a package. Juicy flesh. Medium fibre.

Nam Doc Mai Si Thong
Thailand's most exported mango. Golden yellow colour. Thin seed, so lot's of flesh. Taste is sweet and scented. Fruit weighs about 280 to 300g.

Okrung (personal all-time favourite!)
Our all-time favourite Thai mango. It's quite a small mango but the taste is the best in my opinion. Light coloured flesh, excellent flavour, very sweet, very juicy. Little fibre.

We have limited amounts available of some varieties as it's the end of the season.
Prices are:
Kaew Yai .                       7$
Jao Kunthip .                   7$
Kaew Kaset .                   6$
NamDocMai Si Thong .     8$
Okrung .                         10$ (only 3 seeds available!)

Keow Savoy is a variety that is eaten unripe right? Sam Ru looks like the ones that were sold in Rusty's a lot. The last mango of the season. Is it the same?

Yes that is right. Keow savoy are very good when ripe also and sam ru du in Thailand seem to taste better.
