At 6 foot I'm guessing your plants are a lot more than 3 years old.

We get rain all year & probably average 50 - 60 " // however the trees are on drip so never go very dry ; also are planted in lave rock ( had holes punched )

My 8 foot 5 year old tree has not flowered. In contrast my 3 foot 3 year old one produced flowers a few months ago but none set.It looked way too small to open its account.

I believe this is the first time my Luc’s garcinia has flowered. (It’s easy to miss these little flowers). Anyway, seems like fruit are developing. I’d say this tree is about 3m tall and 5 years old?

My best ( most flowering tree) seems to just now be finishing.
Over these several weeks have never seen any insects!
So no surprise no fruit.
Have two other trees that had few flowers but the best one had well over one hundred. Hope this will not prove to be a problem but not encouraging

I guess you’re going to have to hand pollinate. Seems Hawaii has some issues with pollination. I think Oscar was talking about g. prainiana needing hand pollination in Hawaii while that easily sets on its own in CR.

So far only an issue with G. prainiana. All other garcinias here self pollinate. Other locations have reported same problem of lack of proper pollinator, not just Hawaii, in the case of prainiana. But trying hand pollination on Luc's couldn't hurt.

Yeah, Oscar, they're flowering right now and it looks good but, as I noted, I could have missed those flowers easily enough.  I only have found 4 flowers at this point and when I go to check on them I don't always see them right away.

Just found the first tree to flower ( which was when the thread started) & is reflowering with many more buds/blooms. Seems as if two flowering times on Maui.
