iron treatment ???
« on: October 21, 2017, 03:10:16 PM »
Hi All, sometimes i get to thinking not often tho , for the people who live in areas with NO or very low iron in the soil rather than buying all the stuff and have to keep putting it on all the time, could you not just take scrape rebar and knock it down in the ground and call it a day??? i would think that it would last almost forever, its easy to comeby almost any large construction job where they use concrete and rebar will have lots of it scrap.             Patrick

You get iron oxide. Soil that has problem with iron tends to be high in pH. Iron oxide is useless in this case.

People like me, that have pavers in their backyard, will always have problem with iron deficiency.
