nice looking tree there, the leaves look really cool, most of them i see here don't have such a slender elongated shape...they are more oval shaped usually.

I hope that the fruit will be good, I read that some of them have "mucosa"/sticky pulp and other ones are more firm... would it be true?
Thats good info Adam. I have one fruit that's currently softball sized hanging on my tree for the first time so I was curious as when to pick the fruit. I will keep watch for the color change- do they "color-up" off the tree? I also have 2 trees I grew from Hawaiian seeds that are 3ft and 1 year old I was thinking of tossing in the ground...have heard mixed reviews on biriba/rollinia taste/texture? Thanks, Chris
how many years in general for a seedling to bear fruits?Mine is 3 years old, more than 2 meters high but no flowers yet....
very nice! hand pollination is recommended for most, probably due to lack of natural pollinators in most regions. Mine has flowered like crazy 3 times, but no fruit have held yet. only a few set, but all dropped. tree is probably 12 feet after last trimming, going to shorten it some more soon.
Our conversation was lucky, just yesterday i noticed a of flower on a branch of my biriba Actually it's a small cluster of flowers with 2 big ones and a couple of very small malformed ones. Is it normal?Only one cluster, no other branch has flowers.I think pollination is very unlikely to happen i think i'll have still to wait to get my first fruit but nevertheless i'm already happy !
