Hello! I've a couple of little seedlings from seeds i bought on internet and coming from argentina.
They were supposed to be  Red Strawberry guava (psidium cattleianum) but now i start to suspect they are actually psidium eugeniaefolia since on the little envelope they were labelled as arazŕ-una

Leaves are thin, not leathery nor waxy and they are smooth and hairless.
There is not so much colour difference between upper and lower side as it's visible in one of the pictures i'm posting
please help me ID it.
Thanks !

I am not sure why but I have a psidium eugeniaefolia now in the ground.
I am not a fan of guava and can't get past the seeds. It is similar to the pictures
that you posted. I had a strawberry guava and the leaves were smaller and no
striation in the leaves, but it was in the ground in full sun.
I rechecked the leaves and they are also thin and not waxy and smooth and hairless?

Looks very similar but mine has green new growth not red.
Are leaves thin ans flexible or a little bit thick/waxy?

Not sure, I can look again tomorrow.  You may as well just put it in the ground and grow it.  They grow like weeds.  You should have fruit in a few months.

The shape of the leaves is very much like strawberry guava, I grow 12 psidiums and this should not be eugeniaefolia (its leaves are more like an eugenia... )

if you crush the leaves and it has a very nice strong acid smell, something like citrus or so (I dont know how to describe it but I like it a lot)... but better, it could be eugeniaefolia, but if it is similar to psidium guajava, it is strawberry guava

this is my arazá-una

I have three eugeniaefolia

Leaves have a faint camphorous scent when crushed.
