Felipe,

I hear they have a big seeds, and taste very nice.

someone was on a blog saying they love them.

I bet they're comparable to a feijoa and a cattley guava

The existentialist guava? Also called Sartre?  ;) Have faint memory of tasting some here. They were quite acid as i recall.

DEFINITELY inferior to feijoa, strawberry guava, guisaro

a tasty SECOND class fruit

does extremely well here in wet warm subtropics on both basalt and rhyolite soils.. heavy fruiter

an enjoyable addition

Hi, this is funny, finally I got psidium sartorianum from a collector that got his seeds from Luc... so I have just one nice plant.

The smell of the leaves is so good! to me is the best of the psidiums I know: best than longipetiolatum and eugeniaefolia. I will try to do some tea

I read on the net that there is a lot of variation on this species: green, yellow and even redish fruits, so maybe there are better varieties than others.

Normally when in season they are sold here on street-corners ( yellow variety ) , slightly acid , like Paul Recher said heavy fruiter and a nice addition to a guava collection .

I am glad it is a popular fruit there! we are so boring!

I made a tea out of its leaves, I am drinking it now and it is maybe the best myrtaceae tea I know, the flavour is something like guava+lemon+mint or so.

This is my only seedling. Nine months old. Seeds from Birdman. Hope it fruits by itself, when old enough. The smell of crushed leaves reminds me on bubblegum.

Luc
that might have been me.
i was looking for seeds a year or 2 ago (i still am)
tradewinds was out, still is
id rather get them from you anyway,
i would have more confidence in fresh seeds and good tasting fruit.

leaves look a bit like strawberry guava...
