Richard,
I would love to hear your experience/opinion on germinating Platonia insignis seeds ?. People say it's hard to germinate .
Hi Moh'd,
I found the Bacuri seeds bulletproof. The key is to get fresh seeds. A fresh seed have a green or yellow kernel when you slightly sratch the brown rind. If not, the seed is died.
Fresh seeds have almost 100% germination rate. The seed have to be half burried in a deep pot filled with moist but well draining soil. Keep the pot in a very shady place with constant humidity. Usually seeds start to sprout in 1 to 12 months, but it can take up to 2 years ! After several months, you can check the germination by trying to move the seed, as the first sprouting sign is only a big taproot.
