Now that I have my yard filled with establishing mangos, peaches, citrus, sapotes, loquats, avocados, and other trees that will need trimming soon, it got me thinking: do any of these woods work well for smoking/barbecuing?
It would seem like these widely-ranging flavored fruits might produce widely-ranging flavored smoke. Does anyone have experience trying this out? I had a batch of jerk chicken I was going to try grilling up over an open charcoal flame, but it got me thinking about the possible tropical woods that might accompany this tropical dish.
