Help me identify this fruit

First, I thought they were longons. But nope.  I had a tree in my backyard for like 20yrs. No fruit. Chopped it down. Today some gave me the fruit to try.  I don't really like it. Maybe  it ripped yet. A little sweet, has wedges.

Are the leaves compound with more than 5 folioles?

Yeah I think its wampee, has the same seed as its green with a little brown on the edge.

Yes, It is a Wampee fruit tree. I used to like it back in Vietnam, but not any more.  My sister has one tree in Arcadia, Ca. and I only have one or two occasionally. It is sweet and sour at the same time.

Thanks guys. I didnt know the english name.  I heard the vietnamese dry them and season them.  Eat them like snack.  Never seen the fresh version.  I dont really like it. not sure why my tree never fruited.  Oh well. Good to know.

Browner fruit like in the picture are usually variety Guy Sam with Yeem Pay being very good also and more yellow in colour when mature and perhaps not as tangy.
