Jf,
Beautiful!!!!  Are all of your sugar apple grown in SoCal?  My atemoya are golf size and one tennis size.  How do you manage to get your to fruit so fast?  If they are on sugar apple rootstoke how do they perform in SoCal?

Very impressive, Frank. Don't tell me you're still in the Yucatan??? Don't forget to hunt for the now legendary SA Big Red Foot. Adam and Bob (407) seem to have given up!

Hey Thera

I’m a resident of Yucatán. I’m here every 5 weeks but my base is still La Habra. I haven’t given up on red flesh sugar apple and as you can see I’m getting closer and closer. I’m also trying to select early and late top tier mangos and hope to get there. Some of these anonas are growing in La Habra on cherimoya rootstocks so there is great hope for SoCal w respect to custard apples and sugar apples. We’ll talk soon

Awesome, I would be on to graft if any of these come close to say Pierce cherimoya. Cherimoya have become dicey here now given our ever changing weather. had very high hopes this year only to see majority of fruitlets burn in 23 plus days of relentless 100 degree plus temps.

J, congrats on your retirement. Enjoy your time in Merida. Looks like you are having a blast. That area has great weather and fertile land to grow the fruits that we enjoy.

Nos vemos pronto!!!

These are the most corpulent luscious saramoyos I’ve ever had way better than Birula atemoya.
