Feijoa, Acca Sellowiana aka Pineapple Guava??
« on: April 16, 2021, 12:49:08 PM »

Hi everyone, can some one recommend a nursery or website that sells Pineapple guava maybe a self fertile variety like 'Coolidge' somewhere in Florida? None of my local nurseries carry them...

Thanks for any help  :)

Justfruitsandexotics.com has them listed on their site but rarely has them available.  Onegreenworld.com may have what you are looking for.

Fruitwood nursery sells some of the named varieties including Mark Albert’s cultivars.  They sell seedlings and scions and update their inventory throughout the year.   They will notify you when items are back in stock.

Best,
Janet

Thanks greenbox, the ones from Amazon are in a 4" pot, I was hoping for at least a
3 gallon, the smallest I wanted to get but appreciate your help.

Hi Janet, I will check them out, thanks!!

There's a nursery a few hours from me that says they "might" get some in in a few weeks?? I'll wait and see how that pans out...

Thanks all!

you're welcome, if all else fails they do grow quickly. these are the 4in pots fron 9Greenbox in 3 gallons after only a year, they are unnamed but listed as self fertile. the smaller pots are cuttings I took from the very bottom since I am growing them as a single trunk in the pots

Nice plants vnomonee  :)...Good luck with your seedlings!

Believe it or I found some at my local Lowe's today, bought 3 of them, apparently a fairly new variety from 2019 called "Bambina"...it's suppose to be a dwarf variety. I'm going to try and grow them as small hedges, for me anytime I can grow something that blooms and possibly fruit is a plus!!
