« on: November 27, 2013, 05:59:24 PM »
Hello!

Arround the month of Februari 2014, i'll go on expedition to "Mwene-Ditu & Tshilomba" in the Kassai region of the D.R.Congo. Arround that time the AMPELOCISSUS ABYSSINICA VAR. CONGONENSIS will give fruits. So than i'll go harvesting fruits for the seeds. (they are edable).

Hello Jean (John),

From your vast experience with the species in your local area, what would be your top 5 fruits be in terms of great taste?

I'd modify that slightly: I give bonus points for tasty fruit if they look really neat, too  ;)

What about attractive, tasty fruits one would simply eat out of hand, as a snack? Or tasty fruits that look weird or grow on weird plants? That's what I have the most interest in. Being an indoor grower (limited space but full control over the soil and the "weather"  ;)  ), I don't care much for or expect big yields but simply like exotic and unusual plants that if I do things right have a possibility of fruiting years down the line.

From FEB2014 untill MARCH2014 i'll be in the North of Congo for an 2th expedition. (I'm living in kisantu 150km south of kinshasa)

Since there is so many interest for congo seeds, i'll need a reminder...

If you want seeds from Congo become a member from my new FB group...https://www.facebook.com/groups/368349426634663/

Pleas do NOT post in this group... POST ONLY WHAT YOU WISH TO ORDER (than i have an online orderlist) because i dont want to reply all the time on 1000 forums ;)
