Just received my seeds today and everything is in excellent shape! Thank you for making these available to us all at such great prices!!

It seems like only yesterday that you couldn't get a species going here with good genetic variation for under a grand...

Following.  Annie's annuals and perennials used to have them, but, not anymore.  Have been looking for a plant and can't find one anywhere.

I saw that they had them a while ago, but then the trail went cold again. Let me know if you happen upon any.

I also have ordered many seeds of this and never had a sprout

I had 3 out of 150 or so sprout and they lived for a little while. I realized all to I late that I had them growing in the wrong media mix...they died a few months later. Live and learn I guess.

Is anyone growing Tortoise Berry (Muraltia spinosa, Nylandtia spinosa)??

I know where to get seeds, but they are not usually viable and my luck with them has been abismal. I would like to find a few plants and am willing to trade. I have a mostly random assortment of rare species. Tortoise Berry is reportedly invasive on the California coast and was introduced to stop erosion as I recall. Please PM if you have this.

I second that. Richard is a really great seller and has them occasionally. Best of luck on your quest.

Scarify and soak seeds for a few hours in water before sowing.

Should be 80 - 90% germ. Seeds store fairly well for over a year at least.

Great price for this species! Definitely one of the best seed sellers on this forum.

Awesome! I would be down to get a couple more species from Andre as well if he has anything else new. Customs would have made a note of it if they took them...even if to was for their secret garden. You joke about that, but I have seen 19 year servicemembers throw their retirement away for less. You can retire at 20 years of active service in the military.

I got my package and the insects were deemed to be of no concern.

They destroyed 2 packages of Eugenias that I had that had germinated, although I had gotten packages of Mouriri that were SUPER germinated and they had no issue.  I'm pretty sure Eugenias require the next level plant importation certificate while, Mouriri, which is unlisted is permissable to be imported in with the seed permits.   Not entirely sure, but I'm gonna find out.
Interesting...
all of our eugenias came, even though all were starting to germinate.
Edit: we only ordered 2 types of eugenias - e.sulcatta, and e.pyriformis

Everything but the E. angustissima... The wound is still fresh. Lol

I would also be interested in knowing the various altitudes and climates people are growing and fruiting tropical fruit trees at...

I have a 3 year old tree and I rarely use any antifungals, but I noticed a small branch was being attacked by a black (assuming fungal) patch that started a few nodes away from the tip of said branch and caused it to die back. Any ideas? I know it's pretty rare, but figured someone else has to be growing it.

Everything arrived quickly and in excellent shape. Thanks for the extras!

Very excited to have started the new year off with these!

Thanks for offering these! Curious if the Nauclea latifolia is from a plant that you got from me or another member or one you grew from seed?

41
Sorry to hear that happened. It still seems really vague and up to interpretation for germinated seeds... I can't help but think that someone somewhere has a really nice confiscated fruit tree garden in the works. Hopefully I'm wrong.

That sweet, sweet USDA pension plan is probably more than enough for these guys to yeet them into the incinerator without even blinking an eye. Not worth keeping compared to a steady job, I'm sure!

Human stupidity and greed wins out more often than you might expect. You give people too much credit if you always expect them to do the right or logical thing.

That is strange indeed. Every recalcitrant seed that anyone on this forum gets from outside the US comes with a medium.

Maybe you should read all the posts before you waste your money. Sucks for the people who put in orders for overpriced fruit and now will get nothing.

Did this man hurt you? He's not even in the ground yet. Let it go.

Fruits look great! I plan to order some in the future. Great prices for some really rare fresh fruits.

One box vs. a (+/-) 1,500 dollar ticket to somewhere like Malaysia, or just travelling anywhere right now to "have your fill" seems an absurd notion to me. As if you could ever have enough of your favorite fruit in a week to last years. Maybe some people have Bezos money and can catch a flight whenever they have a hankering for a snack. I'll stick with the box, but don't let me stand in your runway.

Could you provide a list/photos of some of what you have available? Thanks

Just wanted to give a quick update.
Just had the first final and I feel great about it. Thanks for the support!
Anyway,
The main reason is to update you guys that seller will ship no later than next Wednesday. I expect the seeds to arrive in about 2 weeks (around a week and a half from Brazil then another couple of days to me). So the seeds will arrive around Christmas? Not a good time still trying to figure out what is best. USPS is already screwing up my packages. Little worried about the seeds taking more time when I ship to you.

Well done! I'm sure you did great.

Everything arrived clean and germinating last time from André, though it did take twice as long due to mail issues at the time. However, end result was great! Everything is still alive and he was really cool to work with. Thanks for getting this going Ryan!

Cheers,
