Where to buy finger lime with phyto cert in Sydney area
« on: October 01, 2019, 05:29:55 PM »
We are visitng Australia and I thought I would bring back some young finger lime trees in my hand baggage if I can find a place in the Sydney area that can issue me a phytosanitary cert for them.

Thanks!
Carolyn

You can not bring any citrus back into this country at all. If you do, expect a visit.

When the USDA says no citrus into this country......they mean it. They do have teams of prosecutors.

Daintree a lot of us did not know about the no no list. We did not even know you needed a permit to ship and seeds. Is there any way we can pin a list in the citrus forum? Maybe a post stating that it is illegal to ship seeds without permits and no citrus into the USA. Everyone here are not citrus experts some are here to learn. I know that I did not know this until someone posted it on one of the threads that I replied to. You see these seeds cuttings and etc offered on Ebay and Etsy so you think it is OK to buy.
