New cotton candy mango and winter Mexican avocado :)
« on: December 27, 2018, 06:20:45 AM »
A couple new additions we picked up yesterday. Both are 3 gallon. Our 4th grafted mango variety and our very 1st avocado. We wanted one that does well in Florida 9b and is close to Hass. Local nursery suggested this winter Mexican. It was an impulse buy and we didn’t spend much time researching avocado varieties before jumping in to this, so hopefully it does ok.
If you guys have any comments, tips or suggestions on care and what not please share. We can use all the help we can get. Thanks!

I'm in 9b Florida. I've had nothing but problems with anthranose on the avocodos overcoming the trees eventually. All my mangos are doing well .

Damn that's terrible. Guess I'll have to be extra diligent on spraying the avocado. We had a problem with powdery mildew on some of our seedling mangos, but not our larger grafted ones.
