Wow very cool! Where in Borneo is the season starting? My contact in Sarawak told me it was pretty much finished.

Very exciting, I too wish I could be there if only once in a lifetime.

I'm always interested in Borneo/Indonesia fruits, especially those that are good tasting/quality, productive and with consistent production; especially if its an exotic species like 'Fijian Longan' (Pometia Pinnata).

Well,
You can visit here anytime my friend.
But you better visit here soon...i'm affraid there will be not much borneo fruits soon because everywhere here the jungle become palm oil farm right now.

Fijian longan is also almost ripe in java.

Hello,

I don't have pictures yet, because i'm still in central borneo, harvest season is started from south borneo and moving to central borneo.
Right now the fruits in central borneo are still immature, but in south borneo the fruits are ripe already.

Sorry to hear about the Borneo jungle being turned into oil producing palms.

Thanks for the exciting news that Figian Longan is almost ripe in Java. I sure wish I could get on a plane right now to Java and sample some quality Figian Longan (PomPin). There is currently no quality Figian Longan (PomPin) fruit/tree in the USA.

There have been a few ripe here and I enjoyed the gold fleshed dark ones this week.Ill post a pic from last week and ignore everything else.

I am expecting to see 5 more varieties of all colours in the next month or two.All the good ones seem to come from melanesia here.

We have them over here, and yes Hawaii is currently part of the USA. Probably not as quality as the ones found in Borneo, but i'm working on planting more.
