and now the waiting part...

Yup. Sept 18th. At least it isn't like the GA bar. A few of my friends took it and they have to wait until Oct 27th. Not a fun wait.

Murahilin, by any chance did you get an involuntary manslaughter or 11th Amendment question on the Multi State Essay section? Just wondering if all the Multi State questions were the same.

Best of luck...I'm sure you did well.

Is this the green mottling coloration you're talking about in LZ?  Not sure if you can see the unusual discolored patches.

Can't see it from your picture.  It becomes very noticable as it yellows up and ripens.  If that is a LZ fruit, it has a much different shape than any I have seen.  Yours has a severe hook to it.

I'm somewhat sceptical of its shape as well, what do the two tips mean? Is that consistent with other juvenile LZs?
Does anyone have pics of young LZ mangoes to share?

Yah, it looks like a deformed LZ. Ignoring the hook, the tail is somewhat characteristic. What does the sap smell like? Snap off a leaf and smell the end of the petiole or crush a leaf. It should have a faint smell of orange peel. Granted, there are a few other trees that have that orange peel smell (eg, the Coco cream), but that would be enough to give me confidence that it's a LZ.

You still have several months to go on that baby.

My comment to shape was not to implt it wasn't a LZ, just stating that the shape was odd/off for a LZ.  I have seen other pictures on this forum and the other forum of mangoes grown in Cali that do not look like the same variety grown in Florida (in shape and color).

I just cut one of two smaller fruits that fell off more than a week ago, it definitely has that distinctive citrus smell, it smelled heavenly though the fruit was too small and bitter ;D

The glenn should have a piney/turpentiney smell.

?????

Almost every one of the 50+ LZ from Walter's and Gary's trees had pronounced twin tips on the ends of the mangos.  Kind of like an elongated narrow lemon yellow Cogshall with a slight curve..

Curved like this..

With the faint double points like a Cogshall.. Like the LZ in the top left corner of this picture..

I don't see anything in those pictures that I would describe as a beveled edge/double points.  Not at all really sure what you mean by beveled edge and double points.  I have been eating LZs for the past three years (from multiple sources) and I do not know what you mean by this as I noticed nothing of the sort.  Look at the pictures I posted on page 2 of this thread.  These are standard as to what I have seen over the years and Lynda agreed.  In my pictures there is no prominent beveled edge or twin peaks.  Shape-wise, looks like an oversized PPK with MAYBE a teeny bit more of a curve (but not much).  I think if you really have a heart to heart with the creator he would agree that when fully ripe, not like the way The Cookie Man eats them  ;) ;D :P, it has many similarities to PPK (shape and taste).
