Probably cherimoya. Small chance it's atemoya. Both closely related plants.

I'm going with Atemoya on this one. Did you buy it in Little Saigon? They usually have bins of Atemoya that look like this- their Cherimoya are usually smooth, with some ridges, and a rounder shape. They also have Soursop that have a similar shape to your fruit, but with tons of "spikes" all over the skin. Chris

Her co-worker knew what I did (grafted) to my small cherimoya tree.  She gave it to my wife from her parent's backyard.  She doesn't know its variety.  thank you Chris for your inputs.

I believe it is either an African Pride or Geffner Atemoya.
