Nangkadak (Jack X Chempedak) first harvest
« on: January 09, 2013, 03:51:44 PM »
Hi, just wanna share some pict of my Nangkadak. this is the first time its bear fruits. it size were pretty big considering this is first fruit and i keep lots of fruit instead thinning them down. the aroma were unique....just like jakfruit but kind of little "mild" with hint of chempedak aroma. flavor were excelent, very smoth with balance of sweet and acid. but for my taste buds...the texture were just more like chempedak (wich is to soft) instead of jackfruit that more "firm and crunchy"

A very nice fruit, for sure. The ease of cleaning is the big allure for me on these champedak x jak hybrids.  One day there will be one with the crispy firm flesh of the best jaks.  I am hoping anyway.  Thanks for posting.

Wow, beauty of a fruit and what a breeze to clean!  Maybe future fruits will firm up a little more for you?

congrats!

Probably already out there for long time, just don't know about it.
