Thank you Roy, but it is not my success it is success of mine friend from india and the squirrels that left at least some seeds :D
As there is still some unripe fruit on the tree it is likely I could have some more seeds in near future.

If there is anyone interested in few seeds, please write here or PM.

Hi Daniel, I'm very interested, but I think if they already germinated then it would be critical to ship then...

Too late to ship. Having said that I will relay the most extraordinary event in my lifetime of receiving sending seed. The deceased Hans ????? sent seed of the recalcitrant Syzygium cordatum that came by sea mail and took 3 months to arrive. The trees are now 9 meters high. Seed arrived germinated.

Should be possible as the delivery time from EU to Us is 1-2 weeks and 1week within EU.. They took 2,5 weeks from india so together it is about a month..thats not that much..

Possible only as long as the package is not opened for inspection. Germinated seeds are now considered plants, so require a phyto sanitary certificate to enter into USA.

How big are your seeds? I received seeds from India and the size was surprisingly small...

The ones I got were that size as well. Similar in size to marang if I remember correctly.

Anjili may come from the western ghats but it isn't really a wild jackfruit. They are more like a small fruited (8cm) keladang (15cm fruit) with softer flesh and not quite as sweet.

Earlier this year when I come back from Asia, here in US I have Indian grocery store, just 200 meters (yards) away from my house. I know owner is from Kerala. I'm in very good friendly relationship with him. So I asked about hirsutus. He immediately called it Anjili, he said fruit is very sweet (hmmm...Mike T).  He knows because he grows one in his own back yard! Don't have to go far for seeds :)
He told me it fruits in July and August. I asked for a bunch of seeds from him, and he confirmed with relatives just few weeks ago that my order will be available in July this year. Now confusing part is fruiting season. Roy-Ind and Sanitarium had different seasons from their sources and now my hirsutus will come much later. Looks like there might be different strains of ar. hirsutus with different seasons  ???
I spend some time trekking and living on a Western Ghats farm. I know fruiting is very seasonal, so timing is that much more confusing..

I think they are late summer and autumn ripe here but occasionally at other times of the year. They are sweet alright with a little acid but a feather less sweet than A.lanceifolius may be a better way to express it.

Being that A. hirsutus is a wild tree and grown only from seed probably there is a lot of variation from tree to tree. I've heard there are some with very good fruit.
