Hi everyone,
some leaves on my meyer lemon have develop some yellow patches on the. What do you think could be the reason?
Here are some background:
- I live in montreal canada where we had a very wet and cold summer this year.
- I only water my tree when the top is drying and give some fertilizer once a week (dynagro foliage 9-3-6).
- It had been outdoor all summer and Have been indoor this week because the temperature is going down to 40F.

I have inspected the tree and didn t see any bugs. By precaution, I spray my tree with a insecticide soap.

looks like a fungus? With all the rain I think very possible

People have seemed to think this is a form of greasy spot fungus.

The symptoms of Mtlgirl's tree look simular to Matt-citrus' tree.

I already tried to spray my tree with a fungicide a few weeks ago. Should I spray it another time?

Mat, MtGirl said she sprayed her tree with EndAll which is a Pyrethtrum/soap compound, and it stopped her tree's problem. See her post, her leaves look almost exactly like yours.

Millet, thanks. I did catch that in the other thread. Looks like it has Neem extract too. Heavy duty combo with the pyreth. and soaps - probably takes out the beneficials too. I wonder what it's defeating for the improvement?

Just some wild guesses here. I'm afraid of those soaps which are fatty acids of a salt. I've burned foliage with them and that may be what's going on with yours. Could be a fungus too, hard to tell. My go to broad spectrum systemic fungicide is copper sulfate pentahydrate. MagnaBon CS2005 or the more expensive one Phyton35.
I drenched my citrus with Bonide All Seasons Horticultural Soap yesterday and you would know it - temps in the greenhouse got up to 95F! Hope there's no damage. Snek, the symptoms you describe here and in the other thread (http://tropicalfruitforum.com/index.php?topic=25762.msg301174#msg301174) match my experience so far. Only affecting the Meyer lemon (and mine is in the ground on standard rootstock) and not spreading to any adjacent trees.
I did recently find a contact in the CDFA Plant Pathology office that offered to diagnose, so I'll probably send a cutting in soon and perhaps we can all resolve!

Yes - affecting only the Meyer lemon. The rootstock or size of the plant has no effect on it. I have more plants, more combinations.

New to the forum and learning a bunch from reading past posts.

This can be caused by a bacteria. Fungicides could be useless.
Has anyone tried 0.5% copper oxychloride as preventive?

Domer, that looks more like insect damage. Leafminers and possibly grasshoppers or other leaf chewers. On young trees, I recommend imidacloprid soil drench to help with the leafminers and horticultural oil for other insects. Do not use HO at high temperatures.
