I'm may be wrong but I think Gefner in from Israel, Taiwanese start breeding Sugar Apple and Atemoya (they call both of them custard apples) since early 1900's and they have their own selections which as Mike T pointed out in a previous post "Taiwan is the universe center for this fruits" they are extensively commercialized there as apples in USA, and some of the most known Atemoya are "Pineaple Custard Apple" and "green diamond"
