Looking for a Neem tree
« on: July 30, 2019, 05:25:59 PM »
Hello Everyone.

My neem tree just bit the dust. Got too big for its pot and slowly wasted away.

Does anyone have a neem tree for sale in South Miami, or shipped?

Thanks!

We have one at my buddies community garden where I keep most of my stuff.  I'll ask him if he has anything tomorrow.

Hey Brad. Thanks for link!!

I use neem mostly to make a tea. 1 - 2 leaves of neem, handful of ceylon cinnamon leaves, jasmine flowers, lemon balm or verbena, holy basil, and wild flower honey. Sometimes I throw in yerba mate. Helps out with my allergies for several hours, so use it to avoid taking antihistamines.

My friend's dad says neem tea helps keep his cholesterol down, but I don't know if it's true.

Since I have controlled diabetes cholesterol and high blood pressure one year ago I started to grow all plants that I can use. So I make a 2 gallon tea with all of them. Men too because it is too bitter. Yerba because I m Argentines.  The one that makes me feel better is pata de buey

Bought a neem tree from seller on Etsy. What a slouch! Claimed trees were around a foot or more, with nice branching. My tree was barely 6 inches, 3 little branches. Nothing like pics. Seller was unapologetic and is dishonest, never getting my business again.

How cold hardy do y'all figure neem can handle? I'm in zone 8bish. I could protect it if I had to but I am looking for species that don't need help here.
Trying to grow it all!
