Mango flowering times?
« on: September 18, 2017, 06:50:14 PM »
Hi All

I swear I have seen it somewhere here (or maybe somewhere else) but I can't find it. Is there a list of mango flowering times relative to each other?

I only aim to have five mangos or so and looking at what can fill the gaps. I have Alison Red (early), Palmer (late) and Keow savoy (not sure, only new and it won't really compete with the others anyway as it's mostly for green eating).

Anyone know where such a list might be?

From my experience, it depends on location and environmental factors.

The best way to get a fairly good idea is asking people in your microclimate.

We have a variety for sale here called "Brooke's late". Supposed to be late season. I found it comes right in the middle of the season, so I know refer to it as "Brooke's On Time". Recently planted a "Zill Late", yet to be seen if it shall be renamed by my farm as "Zill On Time".  :D
