Pakistan mulberry

(1/2) > >>

Lovetoplant:
Anyone growing Pakistan mulberry in Southern California experience that the fruits are ripening early this year?   Usually it begins to ripe early June, but Mine started to ripen last week.

NewGen:
I'm not in socal, but I do notice the same. Been harvesting daily since 3 days ago. I'm in Bakersfield.

PersephonesChild:
My Pakistan is still too young to fruit, but all the mulberry trees in my neighborhood, and the ones behind my office, have all finished fruiting already. We had a pretty mild winter, plus that short heat wave this spring, so I guess they got an early start this year.

Oolie:
Mine fruited early, but we are into the Persians now, so I don't even think about Pakistani.

Istanabungur:
Yes, in SoCal we have more humidity, milder winter and so far less heat this year. This affected many of my fruit trees and vegetable harvest. My peaches are smaller this year, nectaplum twice as big and my kumquats starting to flower again (not usually)after late harvest in April (supposedly February), just to name a few.
