Nice! We gotta keep these in circulation.
Mike, would you happen to have more seeds?
I wonder how readily it would hybridize with fellow Garcinias (or even Rheedias). It might be the next big thing if we could get something on par with (or better than) the purple mangosteen, itself a hybrid. Personally, I'd like to shoot for something with an edible rind (like Luc's Rheedia), but maybe that's asking too much.
At the very least, if it cross-pollinates readily with other Garcinias, that might take care of the seedless females most people have, though that would be a step backward in propagating the pure species. With something this rare, propagating it pure is the highest priority.

Edit:
Feast your eyes on this fruit once again. If you have rats beware as they seem to have an unusual attraction to the seeds.A friend lost all 4 of his seeds in one night when rats broke in to his greenhouse and made beeline for them.
Considering that rats will eat anything that a human does (though admittedly not necessarily the other way around), I wonder what that might mean for seed edibility, human-wise. Maybe it's good as a nut? Has anyone ever tried?
