Title: Amber's Edibles Seedlings Available (Updated 9/30/13)
Post by: carraig on May 27, 2013, 12:19:41 PM
It's getting late in the season and I need to move seedlings.  Prices negotiable if ordering numerous plants.

I have 100% feedback on our eBay store under ambers_edibles (found at http://stores.ebay.com/Ambers-Edibles (http://stores.ebay.com/Ambers-Edibles)) and have worked with many of regulars on this forum who can vouch for us.

For forumites, minimum order is $20 (including shipping).  One plant is $7 shipped priority, up to three plants can be shipped for $10, or up to 5 plants for $12.  Trades for fresh seeds or temperate exotics are always considered.

Most plants are seedlings in a 2" pot to save on shipping charges.  They are all grown in either 5 parts Miracle Grow Moisture Control and 2 parts Turface, or 5 parts of our preferred peat/perlite/pine fines blend with 3 parts turface.  This creates a very well draining mix that promotes awesome root development.  These seedlings will all transplant fine.

$5 Cuttings:
- Ribes uva-crispa - 'Pixwell' Gooseberry

$5 Seedlings:
- Passiflora edulis v. flavicarpa - Yellow Passion Fruit (1 left)
- Annona glabra - Pond Apples
- Bauhinia petersiana
- Psidium cattleianum - Strawberry and Lemon Guava
- Annona muricata - Soursop
- Myricaria glazioviana or M. glomerata (traded as yellow jaboticaba, specific latin name unknown)

$7 Seedlings:
- Schotia afra - Karoo Boer Bean (gorgeous flowers, one of the most attractive seedlings we offer with new flushes of leaves being bright pink.)
- Orange-fleshed Jakfruit collected this summer from Malaysia
- *NEW* Salacca wallichiana (collected by Paul in Malaysia)
- *LOWERED* Mimusops zeyheri - Transvaal Red Milkwood
- *LOWERED* Chrysanthemoides monilifera - Beitou (edible perennial daisy, only 1 offered)
- *NEW* Archindendron pauciflorum - Jengkol (also from P. Recher)

If you want plant specific pics, send me a text message at 361-seven nine 0 five 5 6 six and I will reply with whatever picture you request.  Just let me know you're from this forum.

Regards,
Carraig

When will you have the orange fleshed jackfruit and at what price will it be at?
And do you ship to portugal?

Thank you for your time.

Those are coming up now and could probably be shipped, but unfortunately we cannot ship internationally.  It is extremely expensive!

I might be willing to try, but I'd have to charge you actual shipping costs and cannot be held liable if your customs department confiscates the seedlings.  Email me your address and I'll email you a quote.

Were Recher's jackfruit particularly good?

Were Recher's jackfruit particularly good?

He noted that the orange fleshed variety isn't common in the markets there and gave me the impression it is a 'premium' type of Jackfruit.  Paul isn't the type to collect substandard fruit.

Yes, I have added them to the list.  They are small but growing fast and will quickly be too big for the little pots I start everything in.  They seem like very hardy growers.
