I agree, does not look enough like either soursop or black sapote. Think it is something else, but what...?

Sure looks like some type of young garcinia to me. If so, I guess that narrows it down to maybe one of a hundred types of plants. LOL

I agree with Doug. It is some type of garcinia. Maybe G. dulcis? Or some other big leafed type like hombroiana?

Garcinia have an opposite leaf arrangement and this tree has alternate.

rub the leaves. if it is soursop, it should have an interesting smell to it.
