I have been reading for some time about possible container mangos.  Now that I feel that I am about ready, the final candidates are Pickering and Cogshall.

I don't want to put the tree in the ground and want to maintain it at a smaller size.  A lot I have been reading about these mangos seem to fit that mold.

I have contacted PIN, they have Cogshall in stock but not Pickering.  So I may have to wait.

Are there any suggestions or recommendations on growing these in containers?

Exotic fruit playing cards...hmm.  Is that like dogs playing poker?

I have not seen such a thing.

Maybe sprinkle some cinnamon or honey or both on the larger cut?  It may attract animals though.

If cold roots would be the problem, why not grow it in a large container and wrap it with some kind of heating element when the temp gets really low.  You could even hook it up to a thermostat.  Just a thought.  I'm from Miami so I don't know anything about winter.

I haven't seen any bees on any of the passion flowers.  They were all over my dragon fruit flowers though.

As far as age goes...I don't know.  I assumed that if they are producing flowers they would produce fruit.   There were all 3 gal containers on trellises.  Since I put them in the ground along the fence they have ran.  You can see the growth from one day to the nest.

I have 3 different plants that I picked up from PIN...Panama, Possum Purple, and Sweet Sunrise.

I get a lot of flowers but no fruit.  I have hand and cross pollinated between all three plants but still no fruit.

Does anyone have any experience with this or tips?

My miracle plant HATES full sun.  When I had it in mostly sun, it looked like it was a gonner.  Since, I have moved it under a tree where it gets mostly shade and it looks better than ever.  My plant has produced more since I have been fertilizing it, so try feeding it.

Figs!  They are perfect for container culture.

I also have one fig.  Hasn't done much for me but I keep it around.

As I love fruit plants and am a collector...

I'm looking for ideas of other fruit plants that I can grow in my back yard.  I am looking more for plants that can be grown in 15-20 gal. containers.

I currently have:
bananas
pineapples
dragon fruit
miracle fruit
passion fruit
papaya
star fruit
sour sop
jaboticaba
fig
sugar apple

I'm looking for mulberry cuttings (South FL).

45
Personally, I leave them where they are.  If they are there, they are catching bugs.  Bugs that may damage my plants.

46
Just pick them by hand and move them somewhere else.

Just for a timeline: I planted cuttings of an unknown white dragon fruit on 3/3/15.  The first flowers opened on 6/20/16 and produced fruit.
