I also have a hass avocado tree. It’s loaded with fruit this year.
Don’t rush, take time and enjoy life and food.

Carmen Hass is not a multi crop avocado at least not in SoCal. We have a large specimen in The Great Park in EL Torro that my friend Jon, master gardener, planted some years ago and it has not produce multi crops consistently

Here is the video of 3 of my Haas Carmen’s. Don’t waste your time watching the 3rd tree as it got cloudy and the video got too dark.

I seem to recall that yours is a seedling.  Didn't I call it the Tommy Hass?

Yes, John, Tommy hass, it’s a seedling. I’ll do an update photo on it soon.

My super haas has been in the ground 3 years it started producing the first year I planted it.  It was a 6 ft tall plant when I planted it.  I also have a regular Hass that is growing well but does not produce as well.  And I have an Oro Negro that has really not done well at all.  Again I am in Apollo beach near Tampa.  I am right on the border or 10A 10B.  All are flowering.  So the Oro Negro  may be contributing as it is a type B flower.

Last year I took quite a bit off the top of the Super Haas as it was growing so fast.  It was not a wise decision.  So prune carefully.

Who did the curbs around the trees?

What is the quality of the ripened carmen hass? One of the issues with mexican / guatemalan avocadoes in FL has been uneven ripening.

Good point, Jeff.  The quality of the ripened Super Hass, Carmen Hass, Tommy Hass, and any other Hass in Florida.
