« on: February 24, 2024, 10:38:58 AM »
Dear TFF members,

I am exploring a sales campaign of avocado online sales to support Steve at Exotica Rare Fruit Nursery in San Diego County. If you are so inclined please participate by ordering a box of California Grown Certified Organic Avocados delivered to your door.

The sale offering is for Organic Hass Avocados. Though not listed online I have a batch of Zutano avocados atm that can be a potential buy (if interested in Zutano's please contact me via the online store).

Order your avocado box at
SanDiegoAvocados.com

At checkout use code EXOTICA
Campaign ends March 3, 2024
Price Range: $30-$80 per box
Free Shipping Included in the price.

San Diego Resident? Check the local delivery pricing

Thanks for your consideration.

Few disclosures: 1) any sale benefits the farm 2) if curious about the validity of the campaign offer please check with Steve at Exotica.

Have a great day!

- Priya

This is not a truly fruit related topic, but in a round about way it is for taking care of them. Hope this is an appropriate post for here!

I have a concept and could use help from someone experienced in designing the necessary specifications and make the design a reality. The project is to retrofit a truck bed with a pneumatic conveyor, and make applying compost/mulch a little less cumbersome. Here is an illustration of the concept -

I appreciate any pointers on designing a centrifugal blower based pneumatic material handling rig that can help move compost/mulch to the trees using a hose. Happy to share some of my research and/or conceptualized components I have in mind to build such a unit. Thanks for your time and directions. Cheers.

I planted guava trees from LaVerne / Durling nursery few years ago, and majority of the trees succumbed to gophers. Yikes!. Any case this was before I was introduced to the world of guavas and the better tasting ones written about in these threads. I am looking to replant guavas this year, and would like to purchase grafted/airlayered trees of good tasting varieties. Desired fruit characteristics - soft seeds, good flavor, crunchy fruits, fragrant fruits with flavor.

I paid $15 for seedlings and $21 for grafted guava trees. Ideally would like to stay within this price range. Based on availability and pricing I am interested in purchasing 10-30 trees in a variety. Local / SoCal pickup preferred. If the fruits are in season, and available for tasting/purchase it will be a marvelous bonus.

If you are able to help, please let me know more about the guava and cost quantity details. Thanks for your time.

Cheers,
Priya
