An older article, but good. I remember stumbling upon it when I was trying to find the cultivars behind the Cutie brand name. I ended up getting a "Tango", which may very well do absolutely nothing in South Florida. I like to experiment though...

Interesting article that reminded me of another older article I read about local grown tangerines.

Both are good when in season.

YUCK!! Sorry, I know I am picky, but cuties don't do it for me after having some of the better tangerines!  My personal favorite is california honey (not murcott, or florida hone).. A little known or propagated variety that is so sweet and flavorful, It literally does taste like honey. Only been growing it for while  but it's impressive, found a fruit on it a few weeks ago from last year, and it was still phenomenal, not pithy and flavor seemed to become more rich with the time!  Ponkan was also a great tangerine i Have on my want list!

Pixie is a great cultivar. It's often better than gold nugget when sold in stores. Chinese markets would sell them both as gold nugget but you can tell by the stickers on the fruits.
