Adam,

Wondering if you are going to grow different cultivars of muscadine in your property and selling cuttings to international buyers because nobody is selling Muscadine cuttings at the moment.

I'm sure many people are interested in Muscadine.

Sorry no plans to grow or sell grapes!  You are only the second person to ask about them.

that's totally understandable. I hope everything goes well for you.

BTW, If you managed to get Annona reticulata seeds (might be in season right now or in May ?! not sure) I would love to buy them especially the ones with purple/red/pink flesh types and also several mulberries cuttings.

I know the tree you are talking about and it's a pretty spectacular specimen! I never realized how excited people were for cocktail jabos. Would you consider taking special orders for custom cocktail trees in the future?

Hey Adam, I also emailed you a day or two ago.  I'm wanting to order several plants mentioned in your sale post plus one more if you have any for sale.  I know your busy and it takes some time to get back to all the emails, any of the plants mentioned sold out yet or nearly?

I second that emotion.

Adam, when all of your cocktail loquat trees* are ready I'll rent a U-Haul and distribute some to those of us in southern Florida.

*or even single-cultivar yummy ones

I decided to scratch this idea.

It's more work than it's worth...the plants will be sold regardless, whether they are reserved or not, and it's just more work for me to reserve them.

I'm working on a system to take reservations for plants.

basically here's how it will work:

- you must be a customer who has purchased plants from me before, on at least two occasions (seeds and scions do not count).

- I will post a list of what's available, and members can request a reservation

- Only one plant per customer, unless otherwise stated

- A small discount is given to members who come to pick up plants locally

- there is no guarantee you will get the plant you've requested.  In some cases, this is because some have been recently grafted, and are not fully healed.

there are still some details I need to figure out, but I'm trying to get the system set up soon.  There should be some rare stuff available around the 2nd week of April, and I will slowly trickle out new items as the season progresses.

I will post one more update, once the rules and details of the plant reserving system have been decided.

I think it's time to train your squirrel to help you on order fulfillment.  It's a good problem to be in high demand, but you shouldn't stress out.  Maybe can find interns or workers that take pay in exotic plants and fruits?  Good luck as you sort out the sales/fulfillment challenges.

every year, there will be something new...

slowly the nursery will evolve...eventually I will be selling/shipping more rare fruits

taking less small orders...

answering less questions...

narrowing the scope of the plants that I specialize in, and propagate...

and selecting the best varieties thereof.

rbody, sorry no pineapples this year!

chicomorales, i have some one gal black sap seedlings, ready to ship soon, I will save one or two for you (although I don't save plants, you've been asking about these for a few years now it seems...lol)

Tropicaliste, thanks much, I won't forget you Phil. You are easy to ship to...never a hassle.

I'm thinking about setting up a google number to take phone calls and orders, so I don't have to type so much (email correspondence is hard to keep up with)...still not sure if I want to take calls though...California will have me up till 2am answering questions about jaboticabas.  :P

With Google voice you can set up schedules for when calls will go through and when they'll go straight to voicemail.
