i have what i think is Edulis, at least what i was told in the trade.
Anyway, i am in Zone 9 - New Orleans
In January , we had 1 night that hit 27F. colder than most winters.
it was in a 3gal container, and about 3 to 4ft tall.
it froze down to the roots.
i started seeing new growth in May i think.
i put it in ground in a raised sandy area , it took 2 weeks at most to adjust.
Now, its has really taken off.
i have it planted near a Jujube and a couple of guava, since they provide nitrogen
and i can hopefully prune them and use leaves for mulch.
its in full sun and seems to love it.
i do have a good bit of mulch, and we get a lot of rain here.
actually, we have had 11 inches in a week, and its rained at least 20 of the last 30 days.
My understanding is Inga Feuillei is more hardy by a few degrees.
( i just got a small one)
The Edulis - pic is a couple of weeks old.
