Seeds after 7 months on the way!
« on: March 15, 2016, 08:18:21 AM »
4 seeds of mammea americana arrived to me after a journey of more than 7 months from Venezoula to Greece!
3 of the seeds were germineted and in good condition and 1 was rotten.

Wow! They must have floated that plane across the ocean and propelled it with a single canoe paddle… ;)
Hope your three trees grow big and strong!

Congrats Mike,  put them to absorb water At least couple hours before you plant them, keeping in full shade for at least a week before they see any sunlight,  hopefully they are what you say,  the mammea Americana seeds from here are really big, maybe yours are very dehidrated

They are already planted in deep pots I suppose that they have deep tap roots and the pots are in full shade. Sorry I didn't use a scale to take the picture but the seeds are really big. I hope the trees they also grow big
