Sounds like a great experiment Simon, it'll be nice to watch it progress. I have grafted lychee on lychee and seen successful lychee on longan but those were done for different reasons.

A quick update, all my seeds died....
There are a numbers of reasons why it might have happened but none of the had to do with Raul. His seeds arrived in beautiful condition as always! GA3, lack of light or dirty substrate are among the possibilities. I'm trying it again, this time soaking in clean water for 24hrs. Hopefully it goes better this time.

Good seller, clean seeds arrived quickly with all my paperwork included. Some of the seeds are just starting to sprout. I will order again!

I have a 30 gal potted dwarf ambarella (spondias dulcis) that has been root bound for a few years now. Currently it has fruits on it that are just starting to change color. It also has young green fruit and bloom spikes forming. It doesn't make it into my top 10 fruits but I do enjoy them when they are very ripe. They remind me of mango/pineapple/yellow sweet bell pepper, a nice fruit to nibble on.
