Title: Large Earthquake Struck Costa Rica

A magnitude 6.5 earthquake has just struck Costa Rica. It seems the region has gotten multiple big shakes in a relatively short period of time. We hope our fellow forum members affected are unscathed. Stay safe!

Wow, seems to be a really bad year for disasters. I hope everyone is OK in Costa Rica.

No problems here that I know of. A little rock 'n roll on my side of the country.The quake was centered off the Pacific coast. Thanks for asking! When we have these things my first concern is if it's the big smoking volcano that dominates the the view from my front porch. LOL

I happened to be in San Jose and it rocked nicely, none of the running out of the buildings screaming that I have witnessed.  These little quakes are fine here.
There are two volcanoes that the approach for visitors is closed, has been for months or longer.  You never know...
