How long are you waiting for the seeds from Brasil?

I 'm waiting 6 weeks now and still nothing yet. Maybe the mail there works very slow?

If Ricardo has sent the seeds by registered post, then there is possibility of the envelope being seized by Brazil Police or returned to the sender.
He sent me a packet by registered post but it was returned to him.
If the envelope is sent by ordinary post, then the receiver may get it but it is time consuming as Brazil post is very slow.
I normally receive posts from Brazil in about 45 days.

RICARDO
Do not get carried away by the comments of forum members
One should wait for 45 days to receive packet from Brazil.
I had sent a packet to Mexico by Express Mail Service
It took 25 days to reach there.
My registered post to the same country took 45 days.
JI
Do not worry. The packet will reach you if the packet has left Brazil

To Ji and the other people who bought seeds from Ricardo

I know Ricardo for quite a while and have been dealing with him for the same time , I can personally vouch for him , it is a very positive experience working with Ricardo .

You must know that seeds going out of Brazil sometimes are inspected by customs , when that happens there is a 100% chance they will be confiscated . The same thing happens with seeds arriving in the USA and specially TAIWAN . My experience is that the last one ( Taiwan ) has the toughest custom offices in the world , ZERO tolerance....

Mr. JI , is a seed merchant , not a rare-fruit grower .

An normal mail package from Brazil usually ( to Mexico ) takes about 6 to 8 weeks . The last one send registered mail by Ricardo took 3 weeks .

I was told at the post office that registered mail takes longer to arrive than regular air mail as registered mail needs to be logged at every post office it goes through. I received one package already from Ricardo, all in good condition. Jaboticaba seeds last a long time, so is not a problem with long transit if properly packed, which Ricardo does.

I used to trade seed regularly with someone in Brazil and more often than not packages took over a month to arrive, often closer to 2 months.  I just received some seed from India and it took over 30 days.  So be patient, I think your seeds will arrive.

Seeds did not receive more than one month, the seller said the seeds in the customs,
I talked to other Brazilian sellers trading, shipping time is usually not more than 3 weeks >:(

I do not agree with this Ji , I have been trading for more than 10 years with a lot of people in Brazil , normally i get them in about 2 months . Only when shipped express or registered it goes faster but then you have the possibility the package gets checked by Brazilian customs ..and confiscated . Give Ricardo a break will you , he is not gonna defraud you .

Micah, there is big difference in mail going to Brazil from mail arriving from Brazil. The first can take 4-8 weeks. Mail sent from Brazil to USA usually arrives in 2 weeks.

The vanished ones probably were seized by border patrol. In the old days when the post office had USDA agents in it they always sent a seizure notice, but this is not any longer the case. They'll torch it and you won't get notified.

Aloha All, I offered to send $ to Ricardo in Brazil. He wanted to trade even though I said any seed I would send may be seized. This is an honest seed seller. I have not received the seed yet he sent but I fully expect a package soon. When packages are inspected by Customs (green tape) I still get the package =/- the seeds (if seized for some reason). Ji, we all know seeds to Taiwan are at RISK, you assume this RISK when you do this. Ji, growers are patient people by nature. Mahalo, Jeff
