You have workpermit?
What the heck are you an immigration official? How many Thais are working in farang countries? Better you mind your own business.

I'm just warning sir, many illegal tourguides got arrested lately....

But reading your opinion makes me think it's more fun to not warn and just follow the news..

Tropical Fruit Discussion / keledang seed growth
« on: February 07, 2019, 08:13:47 PM »
After 1 year my keledangs are 20 cm tall.

How tall are yours?

Out of the plants you mentioned, the only one I would cross off is dragonfruit. The rest are good to go.

Why?

I have a 4-5 year old tree that gets about 5 hours of full sun per day and it's 7 ' tall and has endured a recent heatwave
where it got up to 110 degrees for consecutive days and it came through with virtually no damage .I also know of a tree
from the same batch that had it's first fruit last year and it had flowered previously

How did the fruit taste? Was it good?

My tree is 25 cm and 3 years old...in full soil/sun now which is no problem.

My friend told me that yellow dragonfruit cannot grow in Thailand because it is too hot.

Has anybody tried to grow it in hot country?

I have a 'mesta' which is almost 4 years old.

Well, we went through this with this person before. First special variety 2 years from seed, now 4 years from seed. No matter what, it's still mangosteen. I believe textbooks say something like 10-15 years from seed. Some people able to turbocharge them and get 6-7 years from seed, but those are very rare exeptions.
My mesta seedlings planted 4 years ago, and before than 2 years in nursery.  Nowhere near fruiting.
I never said anywhere that I have a special mangosteen which fruits in 2 years.

Here he writes that you need a seedling grown from under his tree because they are the best and can fruit in 4 years...you can use google translate.

What fruits faster? Can you make a list kind of thing?
Lets say we have a Syzygium Malacense.
What will fruit fastest??
Rooted cutting, marcot/air-layer, grafted plant, seed grown plant.

Malay apple takes many many years to fruit....

Can you find dabai?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: 2019 Mango season (Florida) flower stimuli

Then how do mango trees in Vietnam, Thailand reliably fruit every year in almost constant warm climate?

Not quite, end of year starting November and until Jan (even Feb now?), it's sweater weather for people over there. Not for us, obviously. That seems to be enough to trigger mango flowering. And best time to visit for occidental tourists who don't really care about tropical fruits.
As for reliability, pro growers have chemical arsenals at their disposal.

When do we get sweater weather, can you tell me so i can turn off airconditioning.

I see mangotree's blooming and with fruit already.

When is this durian in season?  I have been trying to get seeds for years and years, but no one ever seems to have them.  I'd love to trial it in Florida.  My Graveolens (orange) and Chanee have both recently survived 49 degree night temps unprotected, and I'm hoping that bodes well for them - but this one seems to have "all the right stuff" to survive here, if it can tolerate our soil.

You can try durian lablae from utteradit thailand...it grows in the mountains but has very small seeds (more meat). Maybe 1 in 100 fruit has a good seed to grow. It has low smell and is much more expensive for mongthong or chanee. I have grafted tree's, no more seed now.

Very interesting.  I am interested.  Do you have grafted plants for sale?

In Thailand yes..

Sounds like a bad joke.
I am curious about the  technique, the pictures look absurd.

Is no joke....same technique as for injecting avocado tree's.

But i don't eat thai orange no more.

« on: November 15, 2018, 06:59:29 PM »
Which longkong is in Mexico? We have different ones, from South Thailand is the best with small seeds..

No idea , the seeds were collected in Malaysia . I am only familiar with Langsat , Duku and the Longkong I grow .

Malaysia and Yala-province is very close....i think you have the sweet one with small seed.
