Thanks for reposting the video. Your place looks really nice! You obviously are putting a lot of time, care, and planning into it. Some questions: you say you want to maintain space and light between the trees, but how will this be possible in plantings of groups of 5 trees, where the trees are only 2 1/2 feet apart? It seems to me also that the trunks will be so close together in a few years that they will start fusing together. Don't know what kind of soil you have? Some of the trees are so close to your pavement that i think surface roots will cause cracking of the cement. Yes the planter next to the house is really the craziest idea of them all. I hope those are dwarf varieties in that planter? Otherwise you might have to remove those trees down the line. If the trees touch the house you can have rodents and other critter climbing up on your roof, as well as possible structural damage to your house and foundation.
